About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at W-Industries. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems and components to required specifications, focusing on medium and high voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electrical control systems for medium and high voltage applications
* Conduct arch flash studies to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
* Design switchgear and other electrical components for optimal performance and efficiency
* Implement and maintain electrical standards and practices to ensure consistency and quality
* Support electrical upgrades and modifications to existing systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of arch flash studies, switchgear design, and implementation of electrical standards
* Experience working with PLC/SCADA systems and integrating them into electrical control systems
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
* Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations, including NFPA 70E and IEEE standards
Preferred Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on medium and high voltage systems
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
* Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
