The SCADA Technician will perform PLC, HMI & SCADA Control system maintenance and upgrades, including troubleshooting and repair of existing control and safety systems and the development, installation and commissioning of new systems as per customer provided specifications.
Requirements
- Perform PLC, HMI & SCADA Control system maintenance and upgrades.
- Troubleshooting and repair of existing systems and develop, install, and commission new systems as per customer provided specifications.
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience with PLC based Safety and Control systems.
- Must exhibit the ability to diagnose and repair issue with existing systems in timely manner.
- Must exhibit the ability to develop, install and commission new systems or upgrade existing systems to customer provided specifications and details.
- Minimum supervision is required for someone in this role.
- Candidate must be proficient in calibrating multiple types of transmitters (Rosemount, Viatran etc.)
- Possess knowledge of hand held calibration equipment (Trex, 4-20 ma simulator etc.)
- Use of a company laptop for troubleshooting purposes, and if required to, A / B processors and or Modicon, is a plus.
- Must be familiar with touchscreens / HMI's as well as flow computers, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, vibration transmitters etc.
- Experience with Wonderware and good knowledge of PLC functions and hardware.
- Strong electrical and Instrumentation background.
