Job Duties
- Welcomes customers coming to the cash register in a friendly and professional manner.
- Collects payments by accepting cash, check or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers.
- Makes change and gives the customers their receipts.
- Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s license number; operating credit card authorization system.
- Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Gives the customer cash refunds or credit notes for returned merchandise.
- Keeps and files all repair orders.
- Assists the parts and service departments by performing clerical or secretarial tasks or telephone follow-up.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.
