Job Description
Grace is seeking a Process Engineer for our FCC Catalyst Plant to join our Engineering team! This role reports to our Site Technical Manager and is located at our Curtis Bay plant in Baltimore, MD.
In this position, you will be responsible for design, testing, troubleshooting, and overseeing implementation of process improvements focused on productivity. Additionally, you will support others on the plant team with long term technical issues. Along with all employees at Curtis Bay, you will participate in the sites environmental, health and safety initiatives and play an integral role in achieving compliance with our EHS policy, including emergency preparedness and response.
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in plant processes and equipment to become a primary resource for troubleshooting and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Supports process improvement projects from definition of requirements, through design, execution, and tracking the benefits.
- Conducts daily plant walkthroughs and inspections to assess process conditions and to identify and address issues.
- Works with Process Technology team to plan and carry out plant trials for new products and new processes.
- Conducts and supports commissioning and startup activities, including PHA, PSSR, MOC, writing SOPs / work instructions, and providing training to other plant personnel.
- Leads data driven RCCA for process deviations, downtime, and EHHS events.
- Assists with developing project pipeline with data analysis by facilitating process mapping, or value stream mapping events.
- Other duties / assignments as requested.
