Overview:
Serves as a technical expert resource across the multi-site and state Wurth Industry USA organization, providing information, recommendations, and is influential on projects. Responsible for integrating multiple branch facility-based knowledge by ensuring the proper allocation of service requirements and identification of Capex investment needs. Identification and utilization of preferred vendors in order to maximize cost saving initiatives. Manages the procurement process for services rendered from quote through delivery and/or installation insuring completion meets required specifications. Partners cross functionally with Regional and Branch Management as well as Finance. In addition, will oversee and align protocols for ongoing maintenance and record keeping needs.

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.

CORE RESPONSIBITLIES include the following and all other duties assigned:
- Assists, plans and implements facility policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
- Lead the development, evaluation and upgrading of facility protocols.
- Responsible for facility, grounds and maintenance of building structures, parking areas, egress points, sidewalks, dock doors, dock plates, and storage racking to ensure it is in good condition and does not pose a health or safety concern.
- Manages and directs work of functional team, including hiring, corrective action, performance appraisals and pay review, budget and processes.
- Ability to lead and motivate a large team, manage performance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment in accordance to Wurth basic principles.
- Implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge, including new employee onboarding.
- Manage workforce planning, staffing, and labor relations to meet operational requirements.
- Advises management on Facility compliance concerns and preventative actions.
- Performs facility inspections and makes recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Maintains and monitors facility files and records.
- Solicits bids and quotes for third party vendor contracts. Assists in negotiating and selecting vendors.
- Schedule, assign appropriate contactors to perform maintenance duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating / cooling, ventilation, roofing, building and ground maintenance, vending, cleaning and security.
- Monitors contractor/vendor performance and works closely with outside vendors to ensure work is completed to specifications. Approves and codes supplier and vendor invoices.
- Respond and resolve facility service work orders quickly and efficiently. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.
- Assists in preparing annual maintenance budget
- Active member of the Safety Committee (Cross Functional Safety Task Force)
- Assist with project management. (Racking, floors, lg scale building projects, IT – hang monitors, measure out for wiring - Ethernet needs)
- Stay current in emerging technical and professional aspects of the position.
- May work different shifts to oversee preventive maintenance.
- A Bachelor’s or technical degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of facilities related experience or commensurate combination of education and experience.
- 2 years’ experience with facilities and building management and/or maintenance.
- Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues.
- Experience in OSHA, EPA and NFPA regulatory requirements preferred.
- Knowledgeable in facilities, utilities, and distribution infrastructure.
- Able to read and decipher technical diagrams, schematics, blueprints and manuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence management and senior management level employees and others on sensitive or complex technical issues inside and/or outside the department.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, works well under pressure, able to meet deadlines and drive change in a positive manner. Results oriented, focused on continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Requires occasional lifting/pushing/pulling ability of up 30- 50 pounds. Frequent walking on a concrete surface and working varying weather conditions (office/warehouse).
- Must maintain valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and forklift certification.
- Ability to travel to remote sites, branches as needed (25%).
