Key Responsibilities :
As our Associate Attorney, your role will be integral to our success. Your responsibilities will include :
- Case Management : Manage a caseload of real estate cases, including :
- Consumer litigation related to real estate transactions, including disputes regarding sellers, brokers, or agents for failure to disclose, misrepresentation, or breach of fiduciary duty.
- Real estate transaction consulting and representation.
- Foreclosure defense.
- Property disputes.
- Easement and land-use matters.
- Landlord / Tenant disputes.
- Transactional Work : Review and draft agreements, leases, easements, corporate agreements, and documents related to business formations. Handle various real estate and business transactions.
- Legal Proceedings : Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and depositions, providing exceptional legal representation.
- Discovery and Legal Drafting : Develop and implement discovery plans, draft pleadings for litigation matters, respond to discovery requests, and bring, oppose, and argue dispositive motions for assigned cases.
- Client Communication : Provide updates to clients regarding the status of their cases and advise landlords in the eviction process.
- Team Leadership and Task Management : Guide and manage tasks for staff members and paralegals / legal assistants on your team.
- Billing : Meet and exceed billable hour requirements, demonstrating a robust work ethic and commitment to client service.
