Job Title : Boiler Mechanic
Location : Los Banos, California
Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boiler Mechanic responsible for ensuring the efficient, dependable, and high-quality operation of steam generation systems. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the entire steam generation process, perform preventive and restorative maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and operate critical equipment to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities :
Repair and Maintenance :
Take ownership of the entire steam generation system.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues efficiently.
Perform preventive and restorative maintenance on steam plant components, including but not limited to :
Boilers
Deaerator Systems
Pumps, Motors, and Turbines
Control and Chemical Systems
Economizers and Flue Gas Recirculators
Condensate Return Systems and Fire Pumps
Perform high-pressure welding, pipefitting, and rigging as needed.
Maintain a thorough understanding of steam generation theory, fluid dynamics, and basic physics related to pressure and temperature.
Operations :
Operate, monitor, and maintain steam, condensate, and water flows.
Start up and shut down boilers safely and efficiently.
Perform basic water chemistry analysis to ensure optimal system performance.
Balance steam and water flows to maintain process efficiency.
Respond promptly to operational upsets and emergencies.
Qualifications :
Strong troubleshooting skills for steam generation systems and related equipment.
Comprehensive knowledge of boiler operations and maintenance best practices.
Understanding of hydraulic and air fluid theories.
Experience with high-pressure welding and pipefitting preferred.
