This position is for a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney in our Austin office. Our firm is highly active in criminal litigation and is at the forefront of legal advocacy in this area. We are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients and are looking for attorneys who are driven, passionate, and ready to fight for those we serve.
Qualifications :
MUST BE FLUENT / BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in criminal law (defense or prosecution)
Previous experience in Central Texas Counties courts, including Travis County, Hays County, and Williamson County, etc. is a plus
Any additional experience with Spanish-speaking clients is highly favorable
JD degree and admission to the State Bar of Texas is required
Strong oral advocacy skills with a preference for prior litigation experience
Ability to work independently and in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to manage your own docket with limited supervision
Ability to work well with people of diverse cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds
Valid driver's license - travel to jails and detention centers within Central Texas will be necessary on a regular basis
