Job Title : Estimator (Earthwork, Wet Utilities, Concrete, Asphalt Paving)
We are partnering with a client who is seeking an experienced Estimator specializing in earthwork, wet utilities, concrete, and asphalt paving. The successful candidate will play a key role in estimating costs, preparing bids, and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and understand civil construction plans, including Florida DOT and municipal designs, and perform detailed take-offs for earthwork, water, and roadways.
Estimate costs for earthwork, wet utilities, concrete, and asphalt paving projects.
Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and necessary information.
Organize and manage the estimating process from start to finish, ensuring accurate bids and project timelines.
Collaborate effectively with the project team, providing input and support throughout the estimating and project execution phases.
Stay up to date on industry regulations, best practices, and standards of civil construction.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or relevant site work experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating infrastructure projects focused on earthwork, wet utilities, and roadways.
Proficiency in B2W, Agtek, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of civil construction regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
Ability to perform detailed take-offs and communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Organized, dependable, and a team player with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
Requirements :
3 years of experience in heavy civil estimating.
3 years of experience in earthwork estimating.
3 years of experience with wet utilities.
3 years of experience in roadway construction.
Ability to work on-site in person.
Authorization to work in the U.S.
