Job Title : Patent Agent or Technical Advisor
Location : Los Angeles, CA (Qualified candidates may also be considered for Denver to support cross-office needs.)
Job Overview : We are seeking a motivated Patent Agent or Technical Advisor to join the Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group on the Electrical Engineering & Software Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative intellectual property matters and contribute to the development of comprehensive IP strategies for clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and prosecute patent applications filed with the USPTO and foreign patent offices.
Provide technological guidance to attorneys, assisting clients in documenting inventions.
Counsel clients on comprehensive IP strategy, prior art analysis, and IP portfolio management.
Collaborate on foreign patent applications as needed.
Conduct technical research and analysis to support patent prosecution and litigation efforts.
Identify and contribute to process improvements in work efficiency.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field is required.
Registration to practice before the USPTO is a plus but not required.
Industry experience is preferred but not required.
Hands-on experience working in the Semiconductor industry (preferred)
Detail-oriented, organized, and team-oriented.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task independently under deadlines, prioritize case assignments, and efficiently manage resources.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to respond professionally to questions.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and specialized software as required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high integrity.
