What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at W3Global Inc?
Responsibilities:
Advocate safety as the number one priority on the jobsite and enforce compliance with company and jobsite safety plan and policies and all safety-related regulations.
Partners with Estimating and Project Management teams to supervise, direct, and coordinate management of construction projects, including direct liaison with owner, designers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the project.
Work directly with supervisory personnel (General Superintendent) and project team members (Project Managers) to improve construction methods and resolve construction issues.
Assist or lead the development and implementation of detailed schedules through Primavera P6 Software.
Create, track, and distribute detailed daily reporting of job site status through our Note Vault Software.
Implement and coordinate all necessary progress reporting and compliance documents in collaboration with the Project Manager and understand their practical relation to day-to-day jobsite duties.
Oversees the review of plans and specifications in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawings.
Ensure construction schedules are adhered to by strategically coordinating the appropriate staffing levels and material/product procurement.
Assist or lead the review and approval process of shop drawings for adherence to contract documents, constructability, clarifications, errors, omissions, and discrepancies.
Procure tools and materials necessary for project execution and ensure their availability according to the project schedule and budget.
Evaluate, communicate, and enforce proper staffing levels and construction timing of subcontractor workload and scope based on subcontract documentation and project needs.
Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and direction of field personnel associated with project responsibility. This is done in accordance with HR processes and procedures.
Confers with supervisory personnel (General Superintendent) to resolve complaints and grievances within the work force.
Prepares and oversees the submission of applicable payroll to the accounting department and all necessary documentation to comply with payroll policies and procedures.
Participates in assigned the project's preconstruction phase if necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized project site for safety, efficiency, and preventability. This includes project sites, job trailers, and company vehicles.
Ability to assist and lead self-performing scopes of work as necessary to ensure that work is being performed within the established project schedule and budget.
Abide by Thrash's project management procedures and processes. Communicate clearly in verbal and written communication with project management teams.
Lead routine internal project meetings with the staff and Owner, Architect, & Contractor (OAC) meetings on the project site.
Establish and maintain all dimensional controls for the project to include the use of third-party survey and layout personnel when appropriate.

Education, Skills, Knowledge, & Experience:
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in construction related field
Minimum of 5 years of verifiable and relevant experience in commercial construction
Current knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
Professional ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal contract documents.
Ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written) - to executive management, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and design firms.
Basic skills in math skills and competency related to construction responsibility.
Basic computer proficiency.
