Key ResponsibilitiesAs a System Integration Engineer, you will:
Lead system integration efforts for large-scale networks with geographically distributed components.
Collaborate with program management, engineers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Provide diagnostics and troubleshooting for system behavior errors, including hardware and software-related issues.
Analyze event/audit logs and packet captures to identify root causes of system errors.
Support development and production systems by applying software builds, security patches, and configuration updates.
Perform deployment activities, including hardware and software installation at external sites.
Develop and update data flow diagrams and system configuration documentation.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to minimize system downtime and ensure mission-critical systems operate seamlessly.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 8 years of experience (or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience).
Hands-on experience troubleshooting IT systems and networks.
Proficiency in Linux system administration and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with deploying application software and managing application servers.
Strong skills in system analysis, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessments.
The ability to develop creative solutions and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours to support mission-critical systems.
We're especially interested in candidates with:
Experience with systems-of-systems integration using advanced or beta software.
Windows Server administration, especially Server Core.
Proficiency with Wireshark and low-level IP operations.
Virtualization experience, particularly with VMware.
Knowledge of tools like Microsoft MDT, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, and configuration management tools (SALT, Puppet, CHEF, or Ansible).
Expertise in network systems (firewalls, load balancers, NIDS, NAT, ACLs, etc.).
Familiarity with PKI systems and ArcSight Security Analysis.
Past administration of OS supporting Linux Oracle database instances (a plus).
