Job Description
The Environmental Scientist must be able to lead with the completion of wetland delineations, stream assessments, habit studies for threatened and endangered species, as well as, database research for Section 106 and Section 7. The Environmental Scientist II will also be responsible for the preparation of 404 permits (Joint Permit Applications), wetland assessments and environmental support for land development, utility projects and civil engineering projects. Applicant will have knowledge of natural resource regulations, water quality regulatory programs, wetlands identification including knowledge of local botany and soil science, stormwater compliance and Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act compliance. Applicant should also be efficient in stream evaluation, wetland restoration, mitigation, and nutrient credits. Experience with Environmental Phase I Site Assessments is a plus.

Job Requirements:
- BS or MS in Environmental Science, Botany, Biology, Ecology, or comparable Natural Resources degree
- 3-5 years of relevant field experience
- Ability to conduct fieldwork with no supervision
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Desire to work in both an office environment and in the field
- Ability to organize and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Valid driver's license required
