- Strategy Development: Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and stockouts.
- Inventory Accuracy: Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits, ensuring discrepancies are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
- Transaction Tracking: Ensure proper recording and tracking of all inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, adjustments, and returns.
- Inventory Level Management: Analyze and manage inventory levels to balance stock requirements and maintain an efficient supply chain, minimizing excess inventory and preventing stockouts.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train inventory staff, providing guidance and support to promote optimal performance, and ensure the team is well-equipped to achieve department goals.
- Workflow Efficiency: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, fostering an efficient workflow and effective collaboration within the inventory management team.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency, reducing costs and driving continuous improvement.
- SOP Development: Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding inventory management, maintaining accurate records and promoting a culture of accountability.
- Storage Environment: Maintain a safe, secure, and organized inventory storage environment, conducting regular inspections and enforcing proper storage practices.
- Inspection and Coordination: Coordinate with receiving and returns departments to ensure merchandise is appropriately handled and processed, supporting overall inventory control objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using ERP or WMS and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within a warehouse environment.
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve operational challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
