Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a wide range of heavy industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the production and manufacturing of grain-based products by ensuring equipment is reliable, efficient, and compliant with safety standards.

- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on production and ancillary equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Operate shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, bench grinder, etc.
- Perform fabrication and welding using arc-welding, wire welding, and flame cutting tools.
- Maintain and update inventory logs.
- Operate machinery such as forklifts, skid loaders, and front-end loaders.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems (including 480V wiring).
- Welding and fabrication experience is essential.
- Familiarity with single and three-phase motors is a plus.
- Ability to use standard measuring tools such as micrometers, meters, and gauges.
- Must be safety-conscious and follow all safety protocols.
- Available for occasional overtime, weekend work, and emergency repairs.
