Duties And Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare various monthly financial statements and analytical reports.
- Assist in month end close procedures.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Prepare and maintain prepayments, accruals, debt roll-forwards, and other schedules.
- Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.
- Assist with preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash projections.
- Respond to inquiries from and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
- File various tax returns with the State of Mississippi Department of Revenue.
- Provide reports and information to external auditors.
- Perform treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowings, debt, and capital management.
- Perform bank reconciliation of select accounts.
- Make payments and wire transfers for loan payments and wholesale power payments.
- Assist with power cost adjustment calculation and analysis.
- 4-5 years of Commercial/Corporate's financial tax experience.
- Manage day to day treasury and monthly reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Proficient with office software, GAAP
- Possess a valid Mississippi driver's license. Must be eligible to be and remain insured as a driver by the cooperative's group liability policy for the automotive fleet.
