Position Description
Washington Patriot Construction (WA Patriot) is seeking a Full-Time Safety Manager to join our team in our Home Office in Gig Harbor. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter who wants to seek growth, knowledge, challenges, and a place to find community and give back. The ideal candidate will promote and protect the interest of WA Patriot in all safety matters, be proactive in the identification of potential safety issues, and recommend solutions based on past experiences and lessons learned.

General Information
Full Time Position: 40 hours/week
Reports to: General Superintendent
Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
Job Location: Home Office in Gig Harbor, WA and various project sites as required
Qualifications
- Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in construction safety management, including Federal and private-sector construction projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, EM 385-1-1, and other federal and state safety regulations
- Proven experience developing, implementing, and enforcing Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) and Accident Prevention Plans (APPs.)
- Must possess or obtain the following certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED, Fall Protection Competent Person, EM 385-1-1 40-hour training
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project)
- Experience or familiarity with iAuditor Software
- Able to receive badging to work on or visit projects at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Naval Base Bangor, or any Puget Sound Federal Installation
- Position may require commuting between home office and jobsites throughout the Puget Sound region of Western WA as necessary.
Training & Communication Skills
- Strong ability to train and coach field personnel in hazard recognition, safe work practices, and regulatory compliance. (list trainings that you are certified to train)
- Demonstrated proficiency in delivering safety orientations, toolbox talks, and conducting safety stand-downs.
- Proficient in using the HSI Safety Training Portal to manage, assign, and track employee safety training and certifications.
Technology & Reporting
- Skilled in using digital safety platforms specifically Procore and HSI databases for incident tracking, audits, inspections, and compliance records.
- Ability to compile, analyze, and report safety performance metrics to project stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
Other Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work across all levels of field and management staff.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities when responding to incidents or regulatory challenges.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed.
