What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant General Ledger position at Wabash Valley Power Alliance?
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and compliant financial documents. You will oversee process administration accounting entries reconciliations reporting and analysis within the financial reporting function. In addition you will improve the effectiveness of the accounting team by making adjustments and / or enhancements to current accounting and reporting processes. In the short term this role will provide critical support in the conversion of our ERP system including conversion of our general ledger software system.
Some of the essential duties & responsibilities of this role include :
- Lead monthly and annual close processes
- Generate financial statements
- Analyze financial information
- Communicate with the team concerning new information requests and research
- Develop working relationships with nonaccounting business personnel
- Support the Manager and other financial professionals in their duties as needed
