Overview
Wabash Valley Ohio has an immediate need to hire a Quality Control Technician for its breaking and drying facility in Zanesville, OH. Wabash Valley specializes in the production and processing of eggs as well as value-added products. The role of the QC Technician will be to circulate throughout the production floor monitoring and documenting the processes and ensuring that we are operating according to protocol to produce safe, high-quality food products.
Main Responsibilities
· - Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment and production areas throughout the plant.
- Monitor critical control points (CCP) as required.
- Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
- Ensure employees follow GMPs and safety procedures in the facility.
- Perform sample collection on finished product, raw materials, and environmental monitoring swabs.
- Perform GMP and plant audits.
- Perform calibrations on various pieces of equipment.
- Perform basic physical tests such as pH and moisture analysis.
- Serve as back-up to Quality Lab Technician
Skills / Experience / Certificates
·- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Prior experience in working in food manufacturing or lab setting is a plus.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a sanitary manner to prevent cross-contamination.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Demonstrate consistent and punctual attendance at work.
