Senior Industrial Engineer
Lead high-impact projects to optimize operational efficiency, drive innovation, and implement process improvements across Wabash. This role will leverage advanced engineering principles, project management expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver strategic outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
The Senior Industrial Engineer serves as a mentor and technical resource for junior engineers, providing guidance and fostering professional development within the team. Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing large-scale process improvement initiatives to optimize production, logistics, and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage predictive analytics, simulation modeling, and data-informed decision-making to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and drive business growth.
- Develops and deploys plans that ensure the timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources.
- Work with scheduling and demand planning teams to create optimized production plans and provide capacity planning analysis.
- Interact with production management daily on all matters relating to staffing requirements and IE activities.
- Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
- Perform cycle time and bottleneck analysis. Work with plant leadership to improve productivity, quality, and throughput.
- Perform manpower planning/leveling/adjustments per volume adjustments and labor and ergonomic studies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field of study (Preferred: Industrial Engineering).
- Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
- Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with CAD, PowerBI, SQL, Data Analytic as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience using MES and SAP systems.
- Ability to apply strong principles and analytical techniques to continuously improve the manufacturing process.
- Practical knowledge and understanding of traditional lean manufacturing systems.
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- 20% travel required.
