What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Service position at Wabash?
About the Role :
As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the workflow throughout the shop. Activities include, but are not limited to, reviewing tank repair orders, scheduling mechanics, tracking work orders, and submitting requisitions to purchase parts.
Your Responsibilities :
- Oversee the scheduling of work through the shop
- Hire, train and evaluate personnel
- Build and maintain good customer relationships
- Complete necessary paperwork for tank repair orders in accurate and timely manner
- Review completed shop orders before they are closed and invoiced
- Requisition purchase orders to suppliers
- Assist in the quotation of repair orders that will be presented to the customer
- Schedule all mechanics and shop maintenance requirements
- Project management
- Other duties as assigned
