About the Role:
This role is responsible for overseeing the operations, efficiency, and management of the operational aspects of the Marketplace. This includes maintenance of the TAAS fleet, management of customer success, and front and back-office support. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, transportation, and fleet operations, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, attention to detail, customer satisfaction, and safety. A process driven mindset is critical for this position.
Your Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management:
- Oversee the support for the TAAS fleet, including monitoring trailer health
- Track and manage fleet inventory, ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and operational always.
- Develop and implement strategies for tech enablement of the fleet management function.
- Manage and grow third party support center along with scale in operations.
- Used Trailers Management
- Manage the support, refurb and sale of used trailers
- Tracking used trailers from acquisition to sale
- Wabash Marketplace Platform Development
- Relentlessly drive automation of all manual processes through the Wabash Marketplace platform
- Drive adoption of the Marketplace platform and Decisiv among all dealers and stakeholder.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operations staff, both inhouse and third party.
- Develop schedules for operations support
- Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Monitor and control fleet operating costs, including repairs, and maintenance expenses.
- Analyse operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve fleet efficiency.
- Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring alignment with broader company financial objectives.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on fleet performance, including cost analysis, vehicle utilization rates, and compliance metrics.
- Use data and analytics to drive decisions, improve fleet performance, and achieve KPIs.
- Customer Service & Communication:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
- Respond to customer inquiries or complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain clear communication between all customer support functions
- Work with AR to ensure customer invoicing and financial reconciliation are up to date at all times.
Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, business administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- 10 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations with a focus on trailer management is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing large fleets and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Deep Experience with digital tools such as Decisiv, other Dealer Management and Service Management Systems
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a team.
- Proficient in using fleet management software and other logistics systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fuel efficiency strategies, and cost-saving techniques.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the logistics, freight, or transportation industry.
- Experience in managing cross-border (Mexico and Canada) fleet operations.
- Familiarity with telematics, tracking and routing software.
- Understanding of state and federal laws and related regulatory requirements related to fleet operations (e.g., DOT, OSHA).
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to improve fleet performance.
