POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Material Handler Level 1 associates perform tasks such as moving boards/sticks/components from location to location by hand based on the specifications of the material.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Material Handler Level 1 associates perform tasks such as moving boards/sticks/components from location to location by hand based on the specifications of the material.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a consistent flow of materials as necessary.
- Assures that materials are within quality criteria and properly orientated.
- Process non-conforming materials per process requirements.
- Fixes jams and or piles of materials on conveyors and in machinery.
- May be required to do other duties as requested by coordinator or supervisor.
- Performs some housekeeping in work area as needed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to see up to 130 feet.
- Must be able to adequately communicate.
- Must be able to wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to stand for 10 hours at 2-3 hour intervals.
- Must be able to navigate up and down stair steps while bending and/or in awkward body
- Must have full range of body mechanics and articulation in arms, hands, and shoulders.
- Must be able to push/pull button and switches for 10 hours.
- Must be able to read and use a measuring tape.
- Must be able to reach up to 2 ½ feet.
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs. for 10 hours at 2-3 hour intervals, 30 lbs. 12 times a shift, and 44 lbs.
- Must be able to grasp up tools and material for 10 hours.
- Must be able to pull up to 30 lbs. minimum once a shift and 20 lbs. with arms for 10 hours at
- Must be able to visually detect defects and mark materials as necessary.
Salary : $31,400 - $39,700
