About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Production Flow Engineer to join our team at Wabash. In this role, you will lead high-impact projects to optimize operational efficiency and drive innovation across our organization.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement large-scale process improvement initiatives that enhance production, logistics, and operational workflows.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develops and deploys plans to ensure timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources.
- Works with scheduling and demand planning teams to create optimized production plans and provides capacity planning analysis.
- Interacts with production management daily on all matters relating to staffing requirements and IE activities.
- Helps determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
- Performs cycle time and bottleneck analysis. Work with plant leadership to improve productivity, quality, and throughput.
- Performs manpower planning/leveling/adjustments per volume adjustments and labor and ergonomic studies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field of study (Preferred: Industrial Engineering).
- Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
- Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with CAD, PowerBI, SQL, Data Analytic as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience using MES and SAP systems.
- Ability to apply strong principles and analytical techniques to continuously improve the manufacturing process.
- Practical knowledge and understanding of traditional lean manufacturing systems.
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- 20% travel required.
