The Global Product Strategy Manager / Product Manager drives global manufacturing and engineering resources to lead new product development & line extensions from concept throughout product life cycle. This position drives effective market research and develops product that align with customer needs. The role includes analyzing return on investment, recommending worthwhile product investments, and ensuring ROI of development initiatives are realized.
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Effectively manage and drive global factory resources to meet product rollout deadlines, overcoming barriers as they arise.
- Manage material / development costs and product life cycles to ensure ROI on new product initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales teams to develop market research strategy, effectively identifying customer needs for new products and existing product improvements.
- Work with internal and external Design resources to identify trends and develop cutting edge new product concepts, meeting customer expectations and achieving sales targets.
- Manage the development of new product proposals, to include design engineering architectural concepts and specifications.
- Work closely with the sales team to define sales forecasts based on product specifications.
- Work closely with product and purchasing teams to identify cost associated with product development. Analyze ROI and deliver recommendations on products worth moving forward.
- Manage schedules for production including pilot run, product and finish review, label production, and initial order quantities (IOQ).
- Work cross functionally with Product Managers and Engineers to provide the appropriate technical materials including product design story, specifications, photometrics, etc. to support effective product launches.
Requirements :
The expected salary is $120,000.00- $140,000.00. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.
