Waconia Public Schools is looking for candidates dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to explore their passions and create their success! A fast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).
Position Summary : Under the direction of the Technology Manager, the Technology Support Specialist is responsible for providing user support in the areas of computer desktop, laptop, mobile devices and networking across the District. Duties of the job involve technical assistance as well as responsibility for the District's mobile device management system.
Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM
Qualifications : Associate's Degree or completion of a 2 year diploma or certificate program is requried. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the areas of computer hardware / software support and maintenance for both Macintosh and Windows / PC platforms is required.
Compensation : This is a Grade 14 position pursuant to the Unaffiliated Technology Work Agreement plus an excellent benefits package.
