Summary / Objective
Western Metal Service is seeking a CNC Press Brake Operator in the Fabrication department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, using a tape measure and calipers, and can perform set-ups on multiple machines. We’re looking for a long-term candidate who is looking for a secure and rewarding form of employment.
Essential Functions
- Must read blueprints and perform shop math to layout and fabricate various parts and assemblies
- Ability to use handheld measuring tools including a tape measure and calipers
- Experience with gauging thickness of material
- Ability to operate multiple machines : shear, uni-punch, CNC rollers, CNC press brakes (Amada, Accurpress, Safan Darley)
- Accurate and efficient set-up of machines in accordance with proper set-up techniques
- Properly operate machine to run efficiently, produce quality products and maximize machine utilization
- Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards
- Responsible for reporting all quality defects
- Accurately fill out all required paperwork
- Perform daily housekeeping to ensure the work area is always clean and organized
- Flexible schedule is required in regard to overtime and start time according to work volume
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration and contact with metals and lubricants. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Must be able to work outside in harsh weather conditions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The position involves standing, walking and lifting and moving up to 100 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 5 : 00 a.m. to 1 : 30 p.m. Overtime and Saturdays, as well as the possibility of altered shift hours due to varied work demands, may be required at the request of your supervisor.

No travel is expected for this position.
