We are seeking a licensed and experienced Medicare agent to help manage an efficient and organized office and assist clients as they navigate the complex world of Medicare.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Take on a mature book of business and grow it with marketing, networking, and sales skills.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand needs.
  • Analyze client information to provide insurance sales solutions.
  • Engage in outside sales activities to attract new clients.
  • Quote and evaluate Medicare insurance lines of business.
  • Conduct Medicare sales presentations.
  • Provide health provider network and pharmacy formulary support for book of business.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients in accordance with our service standards.
  • Prepare prospective client cost analysis.
  • Maintain client records and demographics within our agency management system.
  • Process tasks/activities to organize and track business.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all clients, both internal and external.
  • Work on projects and other work as assigned.
  • Make recommendations on how to improve workflows and procedures to aid efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all processes and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Participate in internal learning and development sessions.
  • Stay relevant in role and updated on industry trends and best practices of team member engagement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information and adhere to all personal and financial data privacy protocols.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite,
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with a collaborative team.
  • Experienced in Medicare sales and service with proven record of building and servicing book of business.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in navigating constantly changing CMS rules and procedures.
  • Ability to handle client changes in specified time frame for Annual Enrollment Period.
  • Ability to create opportunities and close business outside of AEP windows.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, research/analyze problems, and develop solutions to provide outstanding customer experience and support our team goals.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills to uncover client needs, troubleshoot, and handle conflicts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, follows agency procedures, and thoroughness in all documentation.
  • Ability to work successfully and professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and calmness in stressful situations.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and work towards win/win outcomes.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage shifting and/or competing priorities effectively.
  • Ability to produce results while responding positively to pressure.
  • Ability to learn and utilize agency management system and multiple technologies essential for job functions e.g., (MS Office products, Carrier websites, Zywave, Employee Navigator, etc., etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with team to build trust and enhance team productivity and performance.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time and competing priorities to reach objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to set, achieve goals, and measure goals while demonstrating persistence and ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Strong team player with results driven approach and who can work with limited guidance.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ Medicare insurance experience.
  • Life & Health license in good standing and willing to become licensed per state requirements.
  • CMS registered agent in good standing and willingness to maintain.
  • AHIP and Carrier certification in good standing.
  • College degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Professional designation is a plus.

General Working Conditions

  • Fast paced office environment with significant telephone, email, and technology use.
  • Ability to sit and view computer monitors for extended periods of time.
  • Client visits may require non-standard work hours.

This is a 1099 position.

Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:30 am- 5:00 pm
