What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUBSTITUTE Crossing Guards position at Wadsworth City Schools?
Assists elementary children in safely crossing the streets at the various crosswalks throughout the district. AM and/or PM shifts of one hour available. AM is 8:20a-9:20a and PM is 3:00p-4:00p. Rainwear/vests supplied at buildings. Current rate of pay is $10.00/hour.
Substitutes are used to cover our regular staff when they are out of the building. We make advance calls when possible, but most calls will be the morning of the day we need coverage. There is no guarantee of a certain number of hours per day/week/month/year, since you would only be called on an as-needed basis. While substitutes are not considered regular employees of the district, it is a great way to "get your foot in the door" should you wish to work for us down the road. Whenever openings occur, we must first offer them to current regular staff per union contract language. But anytime there is no qualified internal interest, we normally look next to our subs because they already have experience in our buildings.
Must be fingerprinted at Administration offices. $46 payable at time of service, via cash/check only.
Substitutes must be a high school graduate
Salary : $10
