Machine Operator

Waev Inc. is an electric mobility OEM founded in 2021 to manufacture, distribute, market, and support the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger brands. GEM was the first commercially-produced, street-legal low-speed vehicle in the United States. GEMs shuttle people and goods across city centers, residential communities, government campuses, colleges and universities, and other micro-environments. Founded in 1949, Taylor-Dunn burden carriers, personnel carriers, and stockchasers have been trusted solutions in a broad range of commercial environments and provide premium reliability, safety features, and all-electric efficiency for industrial grade applications. Tiger heavy-duty tow tractors have been towing cargo, baggage, parcel, and other equipment in ground support applications since 1981. Waev's headquarters and factory are located in Anaheim, California.

JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures all fabricated parts are conforming to engineering specifications. Operate automatic saws, press brakes, bender, notcher, ironworker, sheet metal shear.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all company safety rules, policies and procedures
• Basic knowledge of machines in fabrication area (Automatic saws, press brakes, Bender, notcher, iron worker, sheet metal shear)
• Ability to read/interpret blueprint engineering drawings
• Keep machines and work area clean and organized daily
• Move completed work orders in MES system

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:

• Min 1 years' hands shop experience in operating press brakes, saws, ironworker, bender, sheet metal shear preferred
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• May have exposure to loud noise levels, dust, fumes, and chemicals.
• Requires extensive use of the eyes and firm grasping and/or fine manipulation using both hands.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs, bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, reach overhead, perform strong pinch and grip, and stand/walk up to 8 hours or more per day.
