As a Pet Groomer at Wag Natural Pet Market, you will play a vital role in ensuring the grooming needs of our furry clients are met with compassion and expertise. We have wonderful and loyal customers who rely on our expertise and professionalism. Groomers are supported by upbeat, friendly, and experienced staff throughout the day. We provide each groomer with a great environment where you can work at your own pace and earn fantastic tips.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions through proper animal handling techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming to identify any potential issues or concerns.
• Educate pet owners on proper pet care practices and recommend suitable products from our market.

Qualifications

• Provide a full grooming service that includes bathing, drying, cutting and nail clipping as well as teeth cleaning and anal expression for dogs of all breeds and sizes
• Strong knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques to ensure safety during grooming.
• Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with clients and their pets.
• Ability to lift heavy animals when necessary and maintain a safe working environment.
• Familiarity with various grooming tools and techniques for different breeds is preferred.
• Certification or training in animal care or veterinary assistance is a plus but not required.
• · Be kind and gentle with all dogs
• Have A communication skills with clients and team members
• Maintain a safe, stable and clean work environment at all times
• Sanitize all clippers, combs, brushes and other tools used on pets to prevent spreading disease among clients
• Vacuum hair between each and every grooming client
• Sanitize tub, crates and grooming space between each and every grooming client

Experienced Pet Groomer Requirements:

~ Minimum of one year of experience as a pet groomer/ pet stylist

~ Recent graduates from the Academy of Animal Arts and Sciences will be considered

~ Experience with all dog breeds

~ Great scissor skills

~ Ability to work on all sized dogs and lift dogs in and out of tubs

~ Work independently

~ Present themselves in a professional manner

~ Detail oriented

~ Experience with cats is not a must but a plus

~ Groomers are expected to provide their own clippers and other necessary equipment

~ Drug free

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
