We are looking for a dedicated Pet Sitter/Dog Walker that LIVES IN Shelby County, KY to join our team and provide exceptional care for our clients' beloved pets. As a Pet Sitter/Dog Walker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of the dogs in your care. Duties:
- Walk dogs and engage them in physical activities to promote exercise and mental stimulation.
- Clean up after dogs and cats and ensure their safety at all times.
- Follow feeding schedules and provide water as per instructions.
- Maintain respect for clients' homes, privacy, and property while providing dog walking services.
- Accommodate additional client requests such as mail pickup, plant watering, and light adjustments.
- Adhere to the provided schedule, promptly report any conflicts or issues, and give advance notice of any changes.
Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Demonstrated at least 5 years of experience in animal care, particularly with dogs.
- Passion for working with animals and understanding their needs.
- Ability to handle various dog breeds with care and confidence.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Smartphone proficiency for utilizing pet care scheduling applications.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Background in veterinary assistance or animal training.
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques.
- Previous experience in kennel or pet care settings.
- Equine or veterinary technician background.
