Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeping Assistant with experience in medical terminology. The ideal candidate will have a background in ophthalmology and research, with a strong preference for those familiar with RealTime eClinical software. This role involves data entry, reviewing scanned documents, and correcting errors to ensure the integrity of our financial and research documents. The position offers the potential to transition to a full-time remote role after a minimum of 3 months of on-site training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial transactions and patient billing information into our accounting system.
- Document Review: Examine scanned documents for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all data aligns with our records.
- Error Correction: Identify and rectify discrepancies in financial documents and data entries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance and medical research teams to ensure seamless integration of financial data.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and integrity of financial and patient information.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Compensation:
- Starting pay rate of $19 to $22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
