We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist I with a primary focus on recruitment, onboarding, and strategic project work. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, and contribute to key HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for talent acquisition and a knack for managing multiple projects while maintaining a people-first approach.
Recruitment
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent across various functions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify hiring needs, create job descriptions, and determine sourcing strategies.
- Source candidates using a variety of platforms, including job boards, social media, and employee referrals.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and facilitate selection processes to ensure a high-quality candidate experience.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and provide regular recruitment metrics and reporting.
Onboarding
- Design and execute a comprehensive onboarding program to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the organization.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to set up new hires with the necessary tools, systems, and resources.
- Conduct orientation sessions and ensure compliance with all onboarding documentation and processes.
- Act as a point of contact for new employees, addressing their questions and concerns during the onboarding process.
HR Projects and Initiatives
- Partner with HR leadership to develop and execute initiatives that enhance employee experience, engagement, and retention.
- Lead or participate in HR-related projects, such as diversity and inclusion efforts, employee engagement surveys, and process improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on HR best practices and contribute ideas to enhance recruitment and onboarding strategies.
- Provide input and support for other HR functions, including performance management and compliance, as needed.
Qualifications:

A. Education
- A bachelor’s degree is our ideal choice. Bonus points if you have some HR certification.
- Experience
- Dive in with 2-3 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in the lively world of warehouses or manufacturing.
- Proficiency with UKG. (Preferred but not required.)
- Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus!
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to hiring and onboarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build relationships.
- Handling confidential info carefully is a must.
Physical Demands:
- Sitting: The HR Generalist role involves significant time sitting at a desk. Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer are standard.
- Standing and Walking: There will be occasional standing and walking within the office environment to attend meetings, visit different departments, or conduct employee orientations.
- Lifting: Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Occasionally lifting and moving office supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of hands for typing and handling paperwork. The role requires repetitive motion with hands and wrists when using a keyboard and mouse.
- Communication: Clear verbal communication is essential for meetings, presentations, and daily interactions with employees and management.
- Visual Demands: Requires good visual acuity for reading documents, using a computer, and recognizing facial expressions and body language.
