- Participate in physical inventories.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Repair pallets when necessary.
- Clean railcars, trailers, and truck bays as requested.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen.
- Criminal Background and Pre-Employment Drug Test: A clean lifetime criminal history and pass drug test are mandatory. COVID-19 vaccination is preferred but not required.
- Education (preferred level): High School diploma or GED.
- Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position): One to three years working in a similar warehouse environment operating similar forklifts.
- Must speak, write, and read English.
- Must write legibly.
- Count accurately and do simple math.
- Must know how to operate a forklift safely.
- Must be able to perform basic carpentry.
- Able to follow directions and work responsibly by oneself.
- Have PC keyboard skills.
- Great people skills and ability to work with people from different backgrounds and levels.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and/or kneel for up to 12-hour periods and repetitively.
- Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty.
- Work around hazardous materials and may be exposed to carcinogens, toxic, and explosive materials.
- Work on concrete and unlevel surfaces.
- May be required to climb ladders and stairs.
- Possible exposure to areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection.
- Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights.
- Utilize muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
