What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader position at Wagner Nursery & Landscape Company?
Wagner Nursery and Landscape Company is seeking a reliable and self starting individual that will be responsible for leading a maintenance crew.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and implement job specifications for each maintenance job
- Assign daily tasks to crew members and ensure compliance
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks along with crew
- Ensure quality on each maintenance and follow up with crews on performance improvements. Communicate concerns to Manager
- Complete daily paperwork timely and accurately
- Assess equipment operation issues and effectively communicate repair needs
- Supervise safe loading and unloading of all equipment
- Assist Manager with initial and on-going training of crews
- Assess skill level and work behavior of crew and provide recommendations to Area Manager
- Ensure adherence to company policies
- Develop and maintain a positive work relationship with Manager and crews
- Encourage and maintain safe working conditions
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to safely operate landscape equipment and tools
- Demonstrate proper pruning techniques while taking into account the plant material and season
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of plant material care and maintenance practices
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them under tight deadlines
- Ability to motivate and lead subordinates
- Strong commitment to high quality of work and customer service
- Safe, clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds consistently
Valid Drivers License is necessary
Travel outside Belgrade is necessary for this position.
Benefits for full time employees begin after probationary period.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week
