WAGO Corporation is seeking our next Sr. Product Support Engineer - Automation to promote the successful application of WAGO's Automation and Interface products to WAGO employees, distributors, and customers by providing high-quality technical support and training.

Experience & Qualifications:
Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) from an accredited university, or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in technical product support, especially in applications of industrial control systems, PLC programming, and industrial control design is preferred
Experience in service and support of field equipment within a factory environment
A demonstrated ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently and possess strong organizational, communication (both oral and written), and interpersonal skills
Bonus skills: Knowledge of CODESYS IEC 61131, PLC Programming, Linux, I/O Interfacing, HMI, Communication Protocols (MODBUS, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS/PROFINET, CANopen, DeviceNet, OPC UA, BACnet, IO-Link), IoT, EDGE Devices, Node-RED, Java Script
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide telephone and email service/support during WAGO business hours to WAGO employees, distributors, and customers, offering technical instruction on WAGO automation and interface products
Record customer service/support details in WAGO's customer database communicating with sales associates of service/support activities.
Produce product support materials (e.g. application notes, how-to guides, example programs, tutorial videos, etc.) and Demos (trade show panels, programs, etc.) as needed to illustrate the functionality of WAGO Automation and Interface products
Participate in training targeted at improving the knowledge and support capabilities of WAGO employees, distributors, and customers
Occasional travel (10%) for technical support, and assistance at trade shows. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by automobile or airplane
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
