Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in industrial automation
Strong knowledge of automation technologies and the ability to develop solutions using WAGO’s products
Proficiency in programming, including:
PLC Programming, CODESYS
Docker, Linux
Fieldbus protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET)
Databases and SCADA systems
Experience with C, JavaScript, and Python
Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to work in a customer-facing role
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside sales teams
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the sales team by developing and presenting technical solutions that align with customer needs
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including system design, configuration, and troubleshooting
Develop demos, training materials, and technical documentation to support sales efforts
Conduct training sessions for sales teams, distributors, and customers on automation technologies and best practices
Assist in product positioning and strategy, leveraging technical expertise to influence business development
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance WAGO’s automation offerings
Additional Responsibilities:
Must be able to travel via airplane
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Travel estimate up to 50%. International travel and travel to corporate headquarters will also be required on a periodic basis to support sales efforts, provide technical training and collaborate with customers on solution implementation
