POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinic Manager, under the direct supervision of the COM, is responsible for assisting with overseeing the day-to-day operations of an outpatient clinic. The Clinic Manager will work collaboratively with the COM to provide supervision to support staff within the designated clinic. This position will maintain an enhanced role within the framework of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) that promotes concepts of proactive team-based care, population management and principles of PCMH to develop a highly functional primary care workforce within the designated clinic to provide higher quality care to a larger population.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or greater required. If greater (LPN or BSN), completion of program must occur within 3 years of applying for MA position.
- Current CMA or RMA certification or greater required.
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required. Needs to be approved following AHA guidelines. Online certification acceptable if hands-on training completed and documentation can be provided to support (email from instructor, class roster or expired AHA BLS/BCLS card).
- Three years medical experience in a physician’s office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
- Two years supervisory/management experience preferred
- Knowledge of the culture and lifestyle of the Waianae Communities or of similar communities
- Knowledge of community resources and an ability to access them
- Knowledge of medical practice and care
- Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic
