What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Decision Support position at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Decision Support (the “Director”) will be responsible for supporting the Chief Financial Officer, Executive Leaders, and other service line leaders in enhancing the economic value of the health center and its subsidiaries and related enterprises by assisting the development of business plans, and providing operation analyses. The Director will oversee decision support staff and provide training and support for their professional development. The Director will lead decision support staff and collaborate with other team members in reporting and operations analytics for various initiatives such as provider productivity and clinical improvement analysis. The Director shall support the CFO and the Finance Department in developing multi-year service line production analysis to support financial plans and annual budgets. The Director is responsible for analyzing revenue cycle related data and reporting on trends and variances. He/she will assist the CFO with analyzing payor contracts and monitoring financial performance of such contracts.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or Management Information Systems required
2. An advance degree, other professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, FHFMA), database administration, and/or equivalent work experience highly preferred
3. Minimum of 5 years industry experience that may include project management, professional services consulting or software development delivery in a non-profit healthcare environment
