What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Medicine Residency Program Director (MD/DO) position at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center?
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position we will work with the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (WCCHC) Designated Institutional Official and Chief Medical Officer to oversee the development, application, and maintenance of certification of the residency program in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements and policies and procedures of WCCHC. The WCCHC Family Medicine residency program is a Teaching Health Center, Federally Qualified Health Center based residency program in Hawai‘i and will require an innovative, strategic, and driven Program Director to assist with the development and implementation of this novel type of residency program in Hawai‘i.This position requires a commitment of 50% to direct clinical services (0.5 FTE) and 50% toward residency program administrative services (0.5 FTE).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Graduate of an accredited medical school with M.D. or D.O. degree required
2. Board certified in Family Medicine by ABFM or AOA required
3. Active Hawaii unrestricted medical license required
4. Active DEA license requied
5. Preferred minimum of three (3) years of experience in administrative, education, and/or clinical services in an accredited Family Medicine residency program
6. Completion of Association of Family Medicine Program Directors’ (AFMRD) National Institute for Program Director Development program, or willingness to participate in this program preferred
