What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant Float position at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center?
The Medical Assistant Float, under the supervision of the Associate Director of Clinical Operations, is responsible to float across all clinics and perform a variety of duties while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to deliver optimal patient care services and manage care within the framework of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). The MAF maintains an enhanced role within this model of care that promotes concepts of proactive team-based care, population management and principles of PCMH to develop a highly functional primary care workforce to provide higher quality care to a larger population.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or greater required
2. Current CMA or RMA certification or greater required
3. Current BCLS certification required
4. One year medical experience in a physician’s office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred; will train a highly-motivated new graduate
5. A valid Driver’s License and daily access to an automobile required
