POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Clinic Manager (SCM), under the direct supervision and in close collaboration with the Clinic Operations manager (COM), is directly responsible for the day-to-day clinic operations and performances of designated outpatient primary care and/or specialty care clinic (s) within WCCHC. The SCM is also directly responsible for the supervision and training of the support staff within the designated outpatient primary care and/or specialty care clinic(s).
The SCM works under the direction of the COM in implementing developed strategic processes and plans for operational improvements within the designated primary care and/or specialty care clinic(s). The SCM works in conjunction with the Leadership Team and in alignment with the organization’s mission to successfully implement and maintain the strategic focus and plans for the designated primary care and/or specialty care clinic(s).
The SCM oversees and manages the day-to-day activities and services of the designated primary care and/or specialty care clinic(s) to ensure effective and efficient clinic operations. The SCM provides management support to all clinic staff as related to the essential functions of this position.
The SCM works collaboratively with clinic support staff, medical providers, CMs, COMs, and medical administration to ensure daily clinic operations, performances, and requirements are addressed and met to completion.
In close collaboration with and under the direction of the Associate Directors of Clinic Operations, the SCM assists CMs of the primary care and/or specialty care clinic(s) in providing periodic management support/coverage. In concert with WCCHC and clinic strategic plans, the SCM assists in the development, implementation, and management of education and training activities.
The SCM maintains an enhanced role within the framework of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and promotes the concepts of proactive team-based care, population management, and the principles of PCMH to develop a highly functional primary care workforce within the designated clinic(s) to provide higher quality care to a larger population.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. High School Diploma Required
2. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or greater required. If greater (LPN or BSN), completion of program must occur within 3 years of applying for MA position.
3. Current CMA or RMA certification or greater required
4. Current BLS/BCLS certification required. Needs to be approved following AHA guidelines. Online certification acceptable if hands-on training completed and documentation can be provided to support (email from instructor, class roster or expired AHA BLS?BCLS card).
5. Three years medical experience in a physician’s office or equivalent combination of training and experience highly desired
6. Two years supervisory/management experience highly desired
