Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Junior Low Voltage Technician willing to travel 100% of the time. The Junior Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Access Control and Video Surveillance systems in Self Storage facilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Commercial Construction environment. Low voltage systems experience is preferred, but not mandatory
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ability to travel out of state, and work evenings and weekends as needed
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate various PC or web-based applications to complete installations
- Reliable transportation and basic hand tools are required
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is preferred. Network tools and electrical testing equipment experience is helpful
- Ability to lift over 50lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight spaces

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, such as video surveillance, access control, commercial AV and network wiring
- Test and troubleshoot low voltage systems to identify and resolve any issues
- Work alongside and collaborate with other technicians and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Working courteously and professionally with all clients, fellow employees, subcontractors, other trades, and vendors
- Ability to guide clients and answer questions on the usage of the newly installed systems and applications
