Overview
The Waikiki Yacht Club is seeking a Dockmaster, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the waterfront, marina, and dry storage facilities at the Club. This purpose of this role is to ensure the security and maintenance of all club docks, moorings, and facilities while supporting regatta management and adult sailing programs. This position is vital in upholding the club's mission of fostering interest in yachting, boating, and maritime activities while ensuring compliance with club rules and safety regulations..
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all dry storage racks, wet slips, and slip waitlists
- Track and communicate member mooring charges and assignments with accounting.
- Monitor and enforce mooring rules, including parking, guest, and temporary mooring violations.
- Maintain dock cleanliness and oversee dock line and electrical compliance.
- Provide monthly reports to the Mooring Committee and attend meetings.
- Draft mooring-related letters for committee review and approval.
- Conduct monthly audits of all vessels in water and dry storage.
- Maintain accurate billing and slip records.
Qualifications
- DLNR Boater's License (Required).
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (Required).
- Experience operating small powerboats and conducting basic engine maintenance.
- Working knowledge or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with fiberglass and gelcoat repair.
- Strong understanding of dock and deck equipment maintenance.
- Minimum of five years of marina management or equivalent experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, and vendors.
