We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources team as a HR Administrator. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and passionate about people, process optimization and numbers. While this individual will be primarily responsible for payroll and benefits administration, we are looking for someone who is dynamic, self driven, open to learning new skills, open to taking on special assignments as we grow and business needs evolve and most importantly, have a “can-do” mentality. We are a leading provider of wireless, mesh-networked, "Internet of Things" (IoT) sensors for industrial environments. Our cost-effective, plug-and-play products empower plants of all sizes to conduct predictive and preventative maintenance on mission-critical and secondary equipment in order to maximize uptime. (I.e. We help with things like getting your Prime packages to you faster!)

Location : Must live in Cincinnati metro area (or be willing to relocate)
Office Location : Queens Gate area of Cincinnati, OH
Onsite Requirements : Onsite with remote flexibility as needed

Job Description
This position will give you the opportunity to oversee :
Payroll Administration :
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing despite shifting schedules or sudden staffing changes.Process and review all variable related compensation (bonuses, commissions, profit sharing, etc)Maintain compliance with rapidly changing regulations across locations.Coordinate payroll adjustments due to dynamic work arrangements.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.Manage payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments.Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll and benefits workflows to reduce errors and eliminate downtown.Implement automation tools and leverage technology to manage high volumes efficiently.Regularly evaluate and update processes to maintain efficiency as the company scales.Provide the accounting team with support as needed, including general ledger reports.Benefits Administration :
Oversee multiple benefits plans (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.)while accommodating evolving employee preferences.Support new program rollouts (e.g., wellness initiatives or expanded benefit offerings).Communicate effectively during benefits changes, ensuring employees understand the impact. Manage communications effectively during periods of change to maintain employee trust.Facilitate open enrollment periods and ensure employees understand their options.Coordinate with benefits providers to manage enrollments, changes, and terminations.Ensure compliance with regulations like ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.Compliance and Recordkeeping :
Maintain accurate employee records related to payroll and benefits.Prepare and file required government forms, such as W-2s, 1099s, and 401(k) contributions.Stay updated on changes in labor laws and implement necessary adjustments.Conduct audits and reporting for compliance in a fast-moving environment.Employee Support :
Address employee questions or concerns in a timely, empathetic manner despite high workloads, ensuring employee delight with each employee interaction.Provide clear guidance on payroll and benefits during onboarding, open enrollment, or organizational transitions.Tailor support to diverse teams and changing employee needs.Develop policies when needed balancing company and employee needs.Systems and Tools :
Utilize payroll and HRIS systems for efficient processingGenerate reports for internal and external stakeholders.Scalability and Change Management :
Prepare payroll and benefits systems to handle rapid growth, including onboarding new employees.Develop scalable solutions for benefits enrollment, payroll reporting, and compliance.Requirements :
Qualifications & Requirements
The ability to demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a strong focus on delivering a customer-delight experience in every interaction.Ability to work cross-functionally on technology based transformation projects.Technical Proficiency : Experience with Paylocity for benefits and payroll administration and familiarity with Google suite.Detail-Oriented : Accuracy is crucial for handling sensitive financial data.Compliance Knowledge : Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefits compliance.Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve complex issues.Desire to grow HR skills and jump in to help with additional special projects and tasks as needed.Preferred Bachelor’s degree in HR, finance, or a related field.Relevant certifications, such as the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are advantageous but not required.Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration (3-5 years).Culture Fit Requirements
