What You'll Be Doing

We need you to help us get it right! Wake County is looking for a Quality Assurance Reviewer to join the Family and Children’s Medicaid (FCMA) Team . In this role, you will conduct compliance reviews for FCMA applications, review and communicate quality information to staff, and provide support to the FCMA Program. This role partners with the Division of Economic Services training staff, systems support staff, and works with management and supervisory staff to discuss findings and develop corrective action plans. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities Include

  • Planning and leading quality reviews of Family and Children’s Medicaid cases
  • Keeping abreast of policy changes and communicating them as necessary to Economic Services staff
  • Assisting with answering policy questions from ESS staff and communicating with state reps on policy clarifications
  • Gathering information, analyzing trends, and reporting information to Economic Services management, supervisory staff, and members of the program staff development team
  • Leading or assisting with the development of policy review meetings, newsletters, checklists, job aids, and other materials to help staff become more proficient in their policy and NCFAST knowledge
  • Assisting with the preparation of materials for external monitoring
  • Leading or assisting with the development, improvement, and training of our quality assurance monitoring tools

Required

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of job-related experience
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted
  • Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume.


Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

  • Two (2) years or more of experience in NCFAST
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in auditing FCMA programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking and/or training.
  • Proficient with using technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


How Will We Know You're 'The One'?

  • Current and thorough knowledge of Family and Children's Medicaid (FCMA) policies
  • Experience processing and auditing FCMA cases
  • Recent experience utilizing NCFAST
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to problem-solve and use analytical thinking; collect and analyze data, and conduct research
  • Commitment to accountability and continuous improvement

Hiring Range: 23.94 - 32.32

Market Range: 23.94 - 40.70

Emergency Service Worker Statement

In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
