What You'll Be Doing

Wake County Health & Human Services is looking for a Records Management Technician to join #TeamWake!

The Records Management Technician carries out all aspects of consumer record operations and provides record support to all WCHS Economic, Child Welfare programs and Public Health divisions. This position is unique in that it provides the opportunity to learn about several different divisions and programs within Human Services. The strong candidate has exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, works well in a deadline driven setting, enjoys being a team player and easily multi-tasks.

Essential Functions Include

  • Organizes and manages client case management data in digital and hard copy formats
  • Ensures the quality, accuracy, accessibility and maintains security of this critical documentation
  • Maintains all records (electronic and paper) in a secure and controlled environment
  • Indexes documents within the respective Document Management Systems
  • Performs record related functions throughout the life cycle of a record
  • Possess the knowledge base for Consumer Records storage and retrieval for Wake County Human Services Records
  • Serve as the point of contact, preparing copies for, and delivery of Subpoenas and Court Order Requests for Information

Required

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of job-related experience
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted
  • Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume.


Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

  • At least year experience working in a Government Setting
  • At least one year working with a Document Management System

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Hiring Range: 21.78 - 23.00

Market Range: 21.78 - 28.03

Emergency Service Worker Statement

In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
