Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs duties involved in the collection and documentation of data in support of research and information gathering activities.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Education, or Public Health; or an equivalent combination of experience and education including training in research methodology, computerized data processing and/or interviewing techniques.
Additional Desirable Experience:
- Experience working with older adults.
- Fluency in Spanish is beneficial.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in clinical research including interviewing and data collection procedures
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Strong interpersonal skills; capable of relating to individuals at all levels
- Must understand and maintain discretion and confidentiality related to all aspects of the study
- Strong ability to interact with participants over the telephone
- Must have excellent organizational skills, be self-directed and persistent
Salary Range from $22.50/hr
Reports to: Research Call Center Manager
Essential Functions:
- Performs duties involved in the collection and documentation of multiple forms of data.
- Participates in all aspects of research and evaluation activities.
- Complete data entry and perform follow-up activities as needed.
- Establishes and coordinates interview schedules.
- Conducts telephone interviews with participants and family members.
- Assists participants in completing questionnaires and answers questions as required.
- Attends regular study staff meetings.
- Comply with ethical standards for research involving human subjects.
- Performs other duties incidental to the work described herein.
