What You'll Do: Coordinates business activities for assigned Department and provides business management information necessary to support strategic and operational initiatives. Monitors, analyzes and audits operational and financial indicators for the Department. Participates with Department leaders in evaluating areas for process improvement and revenue enhancement.
1. Manages staff to ensure effective and efficient delivery of departmental objectives. Provides leadership to staff to ensure short and long term goals are met by developing standards of performance and capitalizing on employee strengths.
2. Works cooperatively with other departments within the Medical Center to ensure collaboration on special projects and implements services supporting the mission and objectives of the Hospital.
3. Assumes responsibility for financial performance by meeting financial objectives for the department and division through operational and capital equipment budget preparation, CE requests, budget and inventory monitoring.
4. Participates in strategic and operational planning to design, implement, and evaluate programmatic needs and ensure that optimal service levels are provided.
5. Assists Departmental Supervisors/Managers with the service operations. Develops reports to allow analysis, trending and problem identification for department. Implements improvements to increase the efficiency and quality outcomes within the department.
6. Manages the day-to-day operations and coordinates operational aspects of systems including revising workflows, forms and procedures, identifying and designing reports required for operations and monitoring implementation timeliness.
7. Provides age-developmental appropriate care in accordance with Age/Development Specific Guidelines for the age groups served when participating in patient care.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five years' experience in Business Management, Financial Analysis or related field required.
- M.B.A or other related Master's degree from an accredited program preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Strong communication (oral and written), quantitative and analytical skills
- Understanding of financial cost and budgeting
- Familiarity with Continuous Quality Improvement processes, Six Sigma preferred
- Strong PC background, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Access Database
- Analytical skills including the ability to trend and forecast financial and statistical data
- Organizational skills
- Strong critical problem solving skills
